Nippon Sport Science University Wrestling Club

The club was founded in 1949, the 24th year of the Showa era.

"He who conquers the dojo at Nippon Sport Science University will conquer the world."

Eight Olympic gold medalists

18 consecutive victories in the East Japan Student League Championship

13 consecutive wins at the University Greco-Roman Championships

13 Grand Slam titles in major student tournaments

Many great achievements were born here.

Olympic

In 1964, Tsutomu Hanahara won the club's first gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics.

Since then, Nippon Sport Science University has produced many Olympians.

The foundation of the prestigious Nippon Sport Science University continues to be passed down through generations.

World Championship

In 1966, Yasuo Katsumura and Koji Sakurama stood on the podium for the first time.

Then, in 1970, Hideo Fujimoto won the first gold medal in Edmonton, Canada.

By 2025, they have won as many as 51 medals.
